Frequently asked questions
Common questions about using LegalRedline AI.
What file formats does LegalRedline AI support?
Contracts can be uploaded as PDF or DOCX. Playbooks can be uploaded as CSV or XLSX, or you can build rules directly in the Playbook Builder.
Is my contract data stored on your servers?
Your playbooks, review history, and clause library are stored locally in your browser. Contract text is sent to our AI provider only when you run analysis or use the contract chat feature. We do not maintain a permanent document archive on our servers.
Does LegalRedline AI provide legal advice?
No. The tool provides automated, informational analysis only. AI outputs may be incomplete or incorrect. Always consult qualified legal counsel before signing or relying on contract language.
What AI model powers the analysis?
The service uses Google Gemini. Model selection can be configured in Settings.
Can I export redlined documents?
Yes. After review, you can export a redlined DOCX with tracked changes and a JSON report of findings from the workspace.
How does version compare work?
Upload two versions of a contract (earlier and newer drafts). The tool extracts text from both files and highlights additions, deletions, and modifications side by side.
What is a playbook?
A playbook is a set of rules that define your organization's standard contract terms — for example, maximum liability caps, required indemnification language, or data privacy clauses. The AI checks the contract against these rules.
Do you use cookies?
We use a cookie to remember your consent choice. With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand how the product is used. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I delete my data?
Clear site data in your browser settings to remove locally stored playbooks, history, and preferences. This action cannot be undone.
